1993
The DEXIS project, formerly part of Germany’s largest and most successful practice management company, is acquired by its founding partners.
1994
The DEXIS sensor is developed in technical collaboration with the advanced materials division of Lockheed Martin, the leading aerospace manufacturer.
1995
Following extensive field trials, DEXIS Digital X-ray is launched in Germany and the first shipments are made to doctors.
1996
DEXIS introduces the industry’s first hot-swappable, external PC capture card, heralding a new era of ultra-portable and affordable digital X-ray devices.
1997
FDA approves DEXIS for distribution in the US. DEXIS launches the revolutionary first laptop X-ray solution to the US market.
1998
DEXIS greatly boosts its US presence following the introduction of the first ClearVu™ image enhancement tool.
1999
DEXIS is acknowledged as the fastest growing digital radiography company in the world, following the introduction of new DEXIS software solutions.
2000
DEXIS introduces its total image management solution, incorporating digital radiography, film scanning, video imaging and custom report-writing tools.
2001
In January 2001 the ADA accepts the DEXIS intra-oral digital X-ray system into the prestigious ADA Product Acceptance Program. DEXIS is the first system to attain this recognition.
2002
New designations provide greater security and assurance by identifying the origin of images — visible whenever an on-screen image is enlarged or printed.
2003
DEXIS is a founding partner of Give Kids A Smile® — serving as many as 500,000 underprivileged children with free dental care in more than 4,000 dental offices and clinics.
2004
DEXIS introduces the DEXcam USB2 — the first high speed USB intra-oral camera, thus raising the standard for convenience, portability, and performance.
2005
In February, Danaher Corp. acquires DEXIS as a key brand for its rapidly expanding dental platform. In July, DEXIS and Henry Schein, Inc. announce an exclusive distribution partnership.
2006
DEXIS' prestigious line up of awards grows with additions from leading dental publications and organizations including Reality Magazine, Hygiene Town, and Dental Products Report.
2007
Henry Schein transfers its proprietary dental imaging business from Dentrix to DEXIS allowing each company to enhance their leading positions in their respective segments.
2008
DEXusb™ is introduced providing a choice in sensor connectivity. Also, the seamless integration between DEXIS digital imaging and DENTRIX® practice management is brought to a new level with DEXIS Integrator™ for DENTRIX.
2009
DEXIS breaks through with the Platinum Sensor. Integrated USB allows direct connection to computer, PureImage™ Technology delivers remarkable image quality, and enhanced ergonomic design increases easy of use and patient comfort.
